Pyper Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. About these terms
1.1 These terms apply when you visit askpyper.com (our website) and when you use the Pyper app. Section 2 applies to everyone. The rest applies once you create an account.
1.2 Pyper is provided by Pyper Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17481446, registered office 12 Market Place, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, OX20 1TA, United Kingdom. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Pyper Intelligence Ltd. “You” means the person using the website or the app.
1.3 By using the website you accept section 2. By creating an account you accept all of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Pyper.
1.4 Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information. It forms part of these terms.
1.5 You can contact us at support@askpyper.com.
2. Using our website
2.1 You may browse the website for your own information. Content on the website is general information about Pyper. It is not advice, and we may change or remove it at any time.
2.2 Please do not misuse the website. That includes trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, overloading it, or scraping or copying its content in bulk.
2.3 If you join our early list or sign up for updates, we will send you emails about Pyper. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
2.4 The website may link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
3. Your account
3.1 You must be at least 18 to create an account.
3.2 Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login or let anyone else use your account.
3.3 Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password secure and tell us straight away at support@askpyper.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3.4 You are responsible for what happens on your account, unless it results from our failure to keep the service secure.
4. What Pyper is and is not
4.1 Pyper helps you prepare for meetings with clients, prospects, and stakeholders. You tell it about a meeting and the people attending. It uses AI to give you coaching on how to approach those people in that situation, and lets you chat about the meeting and debrief afterwards.
4.2 Pyper is your personal tool. It is not a management, monitoring, or assessment system, and we do not give your employer or firm access to your account.
4.3 Pyper is not professional advice. It does not give legal, financial, medical, psychological, or employment advice, and it does not diagnose or assess anyone’s personality, mental health, honesty, or ability.
5. Free trial
5.1 Creating an account, adding people, and setting up meetings are free. When you first press Get my coaching, we ask for a payment card. We do not charge it during your free trial.
5.2 Your free trial is on the Plus plan. It ends when you have used three coaching runs or 30 days have passed since your first run, whichever comes first. Running the coaching again for a meeting counts as one of your three runs.
5.3 During the trial, chat and debrief do not count towards your three runs. They remain available on meetings you have already been coached on until the end of day 30.
5.4 The trial is subject to reasonable use. If your use goes beyond what is reasonable for a trial, we may end it early. We will tell you on screen and give you the option to start Plus.
5.5 Unless you cancel before your trial ends, your Plus subscription starts and your card is charged:
on day 31, or
when you start a fourth coaching run, after you confirm on screen that you want to begin paying.
5.6 You can cancel at any time during the trial in Profile, then Subscription, and you will not be charged.
5.7 One free trial per person. We may refuse or end a trial if we reasonably believe someone has already had one, for example because the same card or email address has been used before.
5.8 To manage demand, we may limit the number of new trials we start each day. If so, we will hold your place and start your trial as soon as we can.
6. Plans, payment, and cancellation
6.1 We offer two paid plans, Plus and Pro. Prices are shown on our website and at checkout in your local currency.
6.2 Your subscription is sold to you by Sold through Link, LLC (“Link”), through which Stripe operates its payment service for us. Link is responsible for the sale, including any VAT or sales tax, fraud checks, payment disputes, and support with your payment, and it sends your receipts and invoices. Your purchase is also governed by Link’s terms, which are shown at checkout. You can pay with any card or other payment method offered at checkout. You do not need a Link account.
6.3 Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
6.4 You can cancel at any time in Profile, then Subscription, or through Link, using the link in your receipt. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it or Link’s terms provide for it.
6.5 You can switch between Plus and Pro. Upgrades take effect straight away, and you pay the difference for the rest of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
6.6 Paid plans are subject to reasonable use. We may limit use that goes beyond what is reasonable for one person preparing for their own meetings.
6.7 We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
6.8 If a payment fails, we may pause your access to coaching until it is resolved. Your information stays in your account.
7. Your content and information about other people
7.1 “Your content” means what you put into Pyper (people, natural styles, meeting details, chat messages, and debriefs) and the coaching and summaries Pyper produces for you. You own your content.
7.2 You give us permission to store and process your content to run Pyper for you, keep it secure, and provide support. You also give us permission to use all of your content, once anonymised, to train and improve Pyper’s own models. We anonymise content in three steps: the names of people and companies are replaced with placeholders; an AI sweep removes any other names or identifying details and makes gendered language neutral; and the link to your account is replaced with a scrambled code. We keep anonymised content, and anything our models have learned from it. We do not share your content with anyone else to train their models. We use AI providers to generate coaching; they process your content on our behalf and do not use it to train their models.
7.3 Pyper involves recording information about other people. When you add someone, you must:
only enter information you have obtained lawfully and are entitled to use, such as what you know from working with them or what they have made public;
keep it relevant to your professional relationship and the meetings you are preparing for;
not enter sensitive information about them, including their health, ethnicity, religion, political views, sexual orientation, or criminal record;
not enter information you hold in confidence for someone else, such as your employer’s or a client’s confidential information, unless you are allowed to use it this way; and
delete information about a person if they ask you to, or if you no longer need it.
7.4 You are responsible for your content and for complying with any rules that apply to you, including your employer’s or firm’s policies on using AI tools and client information.
7.5 You can delete people, meetings, and other content at any time. Deleted content is removed from your account and anonymised as described in 7.2. If your subscription or free trial ends, you can still view everything you created for 6 months afterwards, but you cannot run new coaching, chats, or debriefs. After 6 months, your content is removed from your account and anonymised. This does not affect your legal right to request a copy of your personal information, as explained in our Privacy Notice.
7.6 When you add information about other people, you are the controller of that information and we process it on your behalf as your processor. The one exception is anonymising it and using the anonymised version to train Pyper’s own models (see 7.2), for which we are responsible ourselves. We will:
process it only on your instructions, which are these terms and your use of Pyper, unless the law requires otherwise;
make sure everyone who can access it is bound by confidentiality;
keep it secure;
use only the providers listed in our Privacy Notice, on terms that protect it to the same standard, and update that list before adding a new one;
help you respond to requests from the people concerned, and to meet your other data protection obligations;
tell you without undue delay if a breach affects it;
remove and anonymise it as set out in 7.5 and 12.5; and
give you the information you reasonably need to show that we meet these obligations.
8. Acceptable use
8.1 You must not use Pyper:
to harass, intimidate, deceive, or manipulate anyone to their detriment, or to discriminate against anyone;
to make or support decisions about someone’s employment, pay, promotion, credit, housing, or access to services;
to monitor or keep watch on anyone;
for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else’s rights; or
if you are under 18.
8.2 You must not:
copy, reverse engineer, or try to extract Pyper’s prompts, methods, or underlying code;
use automated tools to access Pyper, or scrape its outputs in bulk;
resell, sublicense, or share access to Pyper; or
use Pyper or its outputs to build a competing product.
8.3 If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account (see section 12).
9. AI-generated coaching
9.1 Pyper’s coaching, chat replies, and summaries are generated by AI from the information you give it. They are informed suggestions about how people may behave in a given situation, not facts about them.
9.2 AI can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and the quality of the coaching depends on the information you provide. Use your own judgement. You are responsible for what you say and do in your meetings.
9.3 We do not promise any particular result from a meeting, deal, or relationship.
10. Intellectual property
10.1 We, or our licensors, own Pyper, including the website, the app, its design, its software, its prompts and methods, and the Pyper name and logo. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Pyper while your account is active. They do not transfer any of our rights to you.
10.2 If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
11. Privacy and who sees your work
11.1 Your account is private to you. Your employer or firm cannot see your preparation, coaching, chats, or debriefs through Pyper, even if they pay for your subscription.
11.2 Our staff do not look at your content except where needed to give you support you have asked for, fix a technical problem, keep Pyper secure, investigate a breach of these terms, or comply with the law.
11.3 Our Privacy Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, which providers we use, and your rights.
12. Changes, availability, suspension, and closing your account
12.1 We are continually improving Pyper and may change its features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel.
12.2 We aim to keep Pyper available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may pause it for maintenance, security, or reasons outside our control.
12.3 We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, do not pay, or use Pyper in a way that puts other people or us at legal risk. Unless the law or security prevents us, we will tell you why and, where it is fair to do so, give you a chance to put things right first.
12.4 You can close your account at any time in Profile, then Subscription, or by emailing support@askpyper.com. Cancel any active subscription first so you are not charged again.
12.5 When your account closes, we remove your content and anonymise it as described in 7.2 within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something.
13. Our responsibility to you
13.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
13.2 If you use Pyper as a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are not provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for business losses, such as lost profits, lost deals, or lost opportunities, because Pyper is provided for your personal use in preparing for meetings.
13.3 If you use Pyper in the course of your business or profession, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, or opportunities. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the subscription fees paid for your account in that period and £100.
13.4 Except as set out in these terms, and to the extent the law allows, Pyper is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
13.5 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
14. General
14.1 We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and close your account before then. Continuing to use Pyper after that date means you accept the updated terms.
14.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company, for example if Pyper is sold. We will tell you, and your rights will not be reduced. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.
14.3 If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
14.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory laws of your country of residence.
14.5 If you have a complaint, please email support@askpyper.com first. We will try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
